The Wrexham Art Group was formed 69 years ago by a group of amateur artists who
attended a local art school in the Wrexham district of North Wales.
The Art Group includes members from a wide background of interests and artistic ability. The
club has continued to provide a meeting place for amateur artists in the Wrexham
area for many years and meets regularly throughout the winter period.
Winter meetings are held monthly on Saturdays at the Bethel Chapel hall, Bethel
Presbyterian Church of Wales, Kenyon Avenue, Wrexham.
Each meeting normally includes a demonstration or tutorial session by a professional
artist/ teacher followed in the afternoon by a workshop run by the artist/ teacher.
Meetings start at 10 am and finish around 3 pm
During the summer months outdoor painting days are held every fortnight and visit
outdoor locations throughout the area.
